Transfers to/from Khao Lak

There are many different ways to reach Khaolak. You could fly from Bangkok to either Phuket or Surat Thani and then transfer here by public bus or private minibus/limousine. You could catch the train from Bangkok to the South and transfer in the same way from Surat Thani. Similarily, you could travel from Hatyai to the North to get off at either Phuket or Surat Thani.
Should you arrive by public bus from Hatyai or Krabi, get off before reaching the bridge to Phuket at Kok Kloi, where you can change to a bus from Phuket to Surat Thani (via Takuapa) to get off at Khaolak. Travelling in Thailand is safe, fun and easy and getting here will be part of your vaction and not a chore.

When you have ordered private transportation in advance, you have to walk through the doors to the outside of the airport arrival hall or the trainstation, where you will see the guides and representatives of the hotels waiting with their signs. Please look out for a sign, that is showing your names. Should you arrive directly from abroad, take the opportunity to change money at the airport, where several bank offices have counters in the arrival hall. Kindly contact the guide before and inform him/her, that you need some more time to change money. Otherwise he/she will start to look around for you and you might miss him/her.
